    Cons -

    • Our room was non smoking room but it smelled like smoke. And there was no luggage strange service so that I paid 1000yen for the coin locker in the hotel.
    • AC did not allow a cool down setting. Room was 25 degrees when I came in.Check in at 3pm, check out at 10am???No luggage storage, only paid coin lockers.
    • Make you pay extra to store your bags for even a few hours after checkout. Did store our bags though when we had to change rooms 1 day to the next.

    Convenient location and spacious room

Check in was uncomfortable. Even though I registered the QR for check in, I had to scan my documents again. I didn’t like that storing my bag cost $1000. Storing luggage is the least a hotel can do.

    Location Landry facility

There is no reception counter with staff. Each time you need help, you need to call for assistance. There is no cloakroom. They told us to use a locker which costs ¥2000. There is no assistance with takkyubin delivery service. I had to drag my heavy suitcase to a convenient store who arranged the pickup for delivery. You needed to give 2 days notice for breakfast but we were not notified about it before check-in.

Location was amazing. Just incredible. and so cheap.

The bed were very hard and the pillows....might as well not have been there.

    7EdwardPosted on: 9-25-2025

The room was comfortable and decent sized

The lobby always smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, they have an indoor smoking area and the smoke from it fills the lobby all the time, so if you don’t want to be breathing smoke, you have to hold your breath from exiting the elevator until you exit the hotel. Not ideal! :(

The location and the price for it were exceptional. Right next to the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter (less than 5 minutes walking) was truly an amazing place to stay at. I would recommend this place to other friends and colleagues who would like to experience the beauty of Kurashiki from an excellent hotel.

Everything was excellent. If there could be luggage storage facility (in case of big bags) for free for guests, then it would be even more amazing. But there are paid lockers in the hotel lobby where we put our bags so it was no problem.

    6TaniaPosted on: 7-9-2025

Great location, just outside an entrance to the Bikan Historical District. Excellent nightly rate.

Our room was a good size, but the bed and pillow were very hard. Also, the air conditioning did not get very cool. (Thankfully a fan was brought to us). Another floor of the hotel was having repairs done on AC, so there was construction materials in one elevator and in the lobby. The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke and the dining tables were always blocked off (despite whether food was being served or not). Would have been a nice place to relax. There were three washing machines available, but they were the most expensive I’ve come across in Japan hotels. Finally, they will not deliver luggage unless your receiving hotel will pay cash upon arrival. Very odd. They directed me to go to the hotel across the street instead. They will not hold your luggage either, but do have coin lockers.

    Decent price.

Allow smoking in lobby. Smelly. Don't have luggage storage but coin lockers in the lobby. First to see this in Japan.

Very well located to historic Precinct and not far from the station; clean and comfortable hotel; friendly and helpful staff

    9Hsun-yinPosted on: 4-23-2025

Really good price right next to the tourist spots.

Tea and coffee provided but not an issue. Shops and convenience stores are right at the corner.

    8LauraPosted on: 4-22-2025

Perfect location, helpful staff, very clean rooms and you cannot beat the value.

The walls are a little thin, I could faintly hear the guests in the next room. But nothing loud, a very good sleep.

Good location, nice room, let us check in early.

    9EugenePosted on: 4-17-2025

The location was nice and convenient. The train is a 10ish minute walk from the JR station, so good to walk if you don't have to roll your luggage. The historic part of Kurashiki is a 2 min walk, so in that way convenient

The hotel was pricey relative to the location, but I guess that's what you pay for convenience.

    8EiriniPosted on: 4-14-2025

The location was great and the rooms were simple but had everything you need.

Hotel staff did not speak proper english. No breakfast unless you had made a reservation way in advance.

    8AjayPosted on: 4-8-2025

Location good. Room excellent spacious. Comfortable beds.

Breakfast. Could be better and more appetizing. Was only cold sandwiches. Some drinks like a juice, milk could be added.
